ACCE is a public/private partnership that makes colleges available tuition-free to current graduates from Giles County by covering the cost of tuition for two years (or 60 credits) in a degree or certificate program at New River Community College.

eligibility requirements
- Graduate high school with a 2.5 GPA or higher
- Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and complete all FAFSA generated documents.
- Qualify for VA in-state tuition and reside in Giles County for at least 12 months prior to ACCE application date.
- Complete at least 100 hours of community service annually.
- Maintain full-time enrollment of 12 credits minimum, 15 maximum.
- Purchase their own textbooks.
- Complete NRCC Placement Tests (or SAT or ACT) and achieve satisfactory scores
- Meet all ACCE deadlines

Application process
- Complete an application for admission to NRCC (see below)
- Attend, with a guardian, a Financial Aid Workshop
- Submit the online ACCE application between October 1 and February 1, 2023(see below)
- Complete the FAFSA by February 1, 2023 (see below)

program information
- Students must maintain full-time enrollment of 12 credits (no more than 15 credits) in fall and spring semesters
- Students must maintain a 2.5 GPA
- Students must reimburse the ACCE program for any semester in which their GPA drops below 2.5 and will no longer be eligible for ACCE
- Students must pay for their textbooks and supplies
- Students must enroll in a degree or certificate program that meets federal financial aid requirements
- Students must take and pass a college success skills course during their first semester (this is the only on-line course they may take first semester)
- It is strongly recommended that students not work during the first semester to ensure greater academic success
- Students must complete 100 hours in a Giles County Community Service Project each year, attend a dinner in October honoring ACCE contributors, and participate in the Muddy ACCE Race
